Vishnu says, ‘ cinema has been my passion though I hail from a family which has no no filmi connection. It is an interesting medium where you can portray varied roles and entertain masses.’

Thanking Suseenthiran for giving him a break in Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu, the actor says, ‘Though Vennila was a huge hit, I still had little offers and they were all cliched. That time came Bale Pandiya, a hilarious script. I took it as a challenge to play a modern youth in it.’

Directed by Siddharth Chandrasekhar, the movie released this Friday. ‘Thankfully the early response has been positive. People are appreciating my performance. Comedy was never easy but however here I had the support of my director and my costars, who helped me pull it off’.

Murugadoss, who is directing Suriya for 7am Arivu, has floated his own production house called A R Murugadoss Productions. He would produce movies in association with 20th Century Fox in Tamil.

Sanford, Global Head of 20th century Fox, Dr Vijay Singh Head – Indian operations of Fox Star and A R Murugadoss of A R Murugadoss Productions will soon announce their joint venture. Fox Star Studios is a collaboration of 20th Century Fox and Star Network. They are producing and distributing feature films worldwide.

The movie is about two youth who are brought up in Royapuram slum. What happens when the two friends become enemies is what the movie is all about.

Says Srikanth, ‘it was a challenging role for me. People have seen me a suave urban hero in my earlier films. Hence to get under the skin of the character, I struggled a lot. I had to reduce over 10 kilograms and tan myself. All credits should go to the director who managed to get the best out of me and my colleague Vishnu’.

On his experiences shooting for the movie, he says, ‘I would go to Royapuram early in the morning and watch people at very close quarters. All became friends with me there. Also we did enough rehearsals, that came handy when we shot’.

The actress, who is expecting the release of Va-Quarter Cutting, says, ‘after Jayamkondan, I was only getting sister roles to play. Annoyed, I packed my bags to go to Bollywood. In fact, Hindi films gave me some interesting projects.’

On Va- Quarter Cutting, she says, ‘it is a refreshing script. I was attracted by the way directors Pushkar and Gayathri narrated the script. The film has come out good. I enjoyed working with Shiva and S P Charan.’

Speaking after releasing the audio, Suriya said, ‘Prakash has great talent and is sure to go places. At this young age, his knowledge of music is phenomenal’.

Cinematographer Nirav Shah expressed his desire to work with Prakash soon. Arya, directors Venkat Prabhu, Lingusamy, Vishnuvardhan among others wished their best for the movie and G V Prakash.

Va Quarter Cutting, produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri, is directed by Pushkar-Gayathri duo. The movie stars Shiva, S P B Charan, Lekha Washington and John Vijay in lead roles.

Following the suit is his recent release Nan Mahan Alla, which is directed by Suseenthiran of Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu fame. The film will soon be dubbed in Telugu.

Confirming this, the director, who is busy with his next project Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai, says, ‘Karthi has struck a right chord in Tollywood as his earlier films which were dubbed and released in Andhra Pradesh were hits. We are planning to dub NMA soon.’

Produced by Dil Raju, the film is directed by Vamsi Paidiapalle. According to reports, NTR will appear as Lord Krishna for a few minutes.

Interestingly, it may be recalled that NTR donned a short role of young Duryodhana in Yamadonga, in the recent past.
